Hosting and technical data

This website is hosted on server infrastructure managed by XAN in Switzerland. Requests involve technical data such as IP address, browser information and requested pages, which may be processed for delivery and security.

Client information stored on XAN’s own servers is held in Switzerland. This does not mean that all processing by external service providers takes place in Switzerland.

External service providers

Where external service providers are involved, their processing is described in this notice. Their own privacy notices explain processing for which they are independently responsible.

Each party remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law and the relevant agreements. Using an external provider does not remove XAN’s own data-protection responsibilities.

Saved settings

The website currently displays English for everyone. Any previously saved language preference stays in this browser until you clear the site data.

We also remember in this browser that the opening animation has already been shown, so it does not play again.

Your choice about optional services is also saved locally for up to 180 days, then we ask again. You can change or withdraw consent using «Cookie settings» in the footer. Rejecting prevents the map from loading. Cookies previously set by Google can be deleted in your browser.

These settings apply to optional Google Maps. You can contact XAN without accepting the map.

Google Maps

Google Maps loads only with your permission. Google then receives information including your IP address and may use cookies. You can use this website without the map.

If you consent, your browser connects to Google. Google may process data outside Switzerland. Clicking the external map link opens Google independently of your choice on this website. Google Privacy Policy ↗

Contacting us

XAN uses Microsoft 365 Exchange Online to host its email. Enquiries sent to hello@xan.ch are monitored by XAN and used to respond to your request.

When direct sending is enabled, submitting the form sends your name, email address, optional company and message through our website server and Microsoft 365 Exchange Online to hello@xan.ch. Your email address is included as the reply address.

You can also contact us using the email link on this website. Your email provider processes the message when you use this option.

You can use either contact option without accepting Google Maps. Please do not include passwords or sensitive information in this form. Contact us first if you need to arrange another way to share such information.

Contact-form security

When direct sending is enabled, we process technical connection data, request counts and a hash of the submitted email address to limit abuse. We also keep a request reference, timestamp, processing outcome and a hash of the submitted fields to help prevent duplicate submissions. These duplicate-check records do not contain the message text itself.

Duplicate-check records become eligible for deletion after 24 hours. Cleanup runs when the service starts and periodically while it handles requests, so records can remain longer when the service is idle. This does not delete the email received by XAN or the sending mailbox's Sent Items copy.

The contact service's application logs record technical outcomes and request references, not the submitted message text. Separate website, proxy and email system records may be retained for operation and security.

Analytics and advertising

This website has no analytics or advertising trackers added by XAN.

For access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, contact hello@xan.ch. Legal retention obligations may limit deletion.
